What attracts visitors to your websites and makes it a useful tool?
I read a fabulous blog post this morning, Transforming Your Website Into a Customer Attraction Force Field with Magnetic Content, by Barry Feldman. In a nutshell he sets out some new rules:

For those of you who know me well, you might know that I love creativity and functionality – and I'm equally as excited about witnessing that in others.
My dear friend Asia Freeman from Homer, Alaska was visiting with her husband, Michael Walsh and son, Jack Marquardt Freeman last weekend. They're driving their newly purchased Toyota motor home from Alaska to southern California by mid-December where they'll fly to Mexico for Christmas. Now that's living!
During our 3+ days shared together we lived like 'family' in my kitchen and dining room. Jake is being home schooled this quarter and took to science experiments in the kitchen inbetween watching football games and a little jogging for PE class.

If anyone stopped by over the weekend they might well have thought we were staging an ad for Apple with 3 laptops and a desktop all humming simultaneously.
Both Asia and Michael are amazing artists and as luck would have it, they both wanted to work on building their own websites! In between cooking dinners and a little important 'shoe shopping' they built beautiful websites for themselves. Even Jake joined in and created his new Sports Now blog to keep folks current on what' happening in the sports world!
I appreciate the long history Asia and I share in our friendship. I sincerely loved having a chance to get to know Michael. And of course, I've fallen in love with Jake who took to calling me, "Mommy 2". Be still my heart!
